The Larkin Square Author Series is pleased to welcome Barbara Ballinger to Buffalo and the Larkin Square Author Series for a free talk and book signing on her new book The Garden Bible: designing your perfect outdoor space (Images Publishing, 2016). She will be speaking in Larkin Square on Monday, June 20th from 5:30pm – 6:30 pm. The event includes time for Q and A as well as a book signing.
With the kick-off of Garden Walk Buffalo just a few weeks away, Barbara will be speaking in Larkin Square about easy ways to improve our gardens. Her book The Garden Bible is filled with inspirational photos, including photos of five Buffalo gardens, taken on a past visit to Buffalo for Garden Walk.
Barbara Ballinger has enjoyed an extensive journalism career, starting out writing about houses, gardens, and architecture for House & Garden’s special publications. She covered such topics as the antiques collections at the White House and State Department, interviewed subjects such as Tipper Gore, Danny Meyer, Roslynn Carter, and Martha Stewart, and appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show as an expert about how to avoid remodeling disasters. Barbara writes a regular blog with landscape designer Michael Glassman, www.thebareroot, who is her co-author for newly published book. Barbara is also co- author of the The Kitchen Bible: designing your perfect culinary space (Images Publishing, 2015)
The Gardens in Larkin Square have been newly landscaped with a wide variety of perennials, we think this is the perfect backdrop for a talk about gardens and gardening. Guests will learn a few tips to take home to help transform their own outdoor space.
