On Tuesday, September 16th at Noon. Dr. Mike Roizen will be in Buffalo to speak at the Larkin Square Author Series.
Homecomings have been a great part of the fun at the Larkin Square Author Series, as many authors renowned far and wide have returned to a warm reception for an informal talk about their work. The second installment of the 2014-15 series brings the second homecoming of the season with Nichols School alum and The New York Times bestselling author Dr. Michael Roizen, who will highlight selections from his “YOU” series of health and wellness books coauthored with Dr. Mehmet Oz. Dr. Roizen and Dr. Oz also write a weekly column on health and wellness that appears in the Saturday Refresh Section of the Buffalo News
In an outdoor lunchtime talk from noon-1pm – the Larkin Square Author Series usually takes place from 5-6:30pm – Roizen, who serves as Chief Wellness Officer and Chair of the Wellness Institute of the Cleveland Clinic, plans to focus on two #1 bestselling editions of the “YOU” series, “YOU: On a Diet” and “YOU: The Owner’s Manual” – the latter described by Publishers Weekly as “most useful to those who like their health lessons served with a side of humor.”
We encourage everyone to join us for a healthy lunch, whether from the Larkin Square Grill or The Whole Hog food truck, which like every food truck in Larkin Square serves a Healthy Option certified by our sponsor Independent Health.
Select books by Dr. Roizen will be available for purchase from Talking Leaves.
The Larkin Square Author Series is Presented by First Niagara and Sponsored by Independent Health and Talking Leaves. The talk is free and open to the public, no reservations needed.
