In Larkin Square we are familiar with the Independent Health Foundation for bringing the Healthy Options program to Food Truck Tuesdays. We also appreciate Independent Health’s sponsorship of all public events in Larkin Square. In return, Larkin Square is proud to help sponsor First Night® Buffalo which provides a family, friendly and safe way to celebrate the new year.
This year, it is more important than ever to ring in the new year with a fresh and healthy start. That is why Independent Health Foundation is partnering with The Children’s Hospital Foundation of Buffalo and will be bringing the fun of First Night® Buffalo directly to the homes of Western New York families. To ensure the health and safety of families this year, First Night® Buffalo will look a little different, all while continuing to deliver a fun-filled celebratory tradition at home.
The First Night® Buffalo Party Pack will include everything a family of 4 needs to celebrate New Year’s Eve on their own time at home. Some of the contents of the party pack include party hats, a disco ball lightbulb, balloons for a balloon drop and balloons for balloon animals, noise makers, face paint, glow sticks, and a resolution/wish jar. Additionally, they are working with local entertainers to include videos that coincide with some items in the party pack. Videos would include a magician teaching kids how to make a balloon animal and teaching how to juggle, Princess singalongs, a dance party, how to face paint, and storytelling.
Also, Independent Health Foundation has partnered with the Festival of Lights to include a voucher to attend this year’s drive through event in the party pack. This voucher would be good anytime through Dec. 1-31st as they will be staying open through New Year’s Eve this year. For a special treat, use your voucher on New Year’s Eve and enjoy a firework display at the Festival of Lights to be shown every hour for the duration of the night.
